Custom birdwatching tours in Croatia


Enjoy nature in more intimate atmosphere with your friends and family. Experience new species, watch them closely, mindfully observe all aspects of their appearance and behaviour.

Custom tours include all kinds of private birdwatching tours of couples, small groups or family who plan their own visit to the birding destinations. I take small group, of 2 to 8 participants, on a daytrip to ensure maximal enjoyment and individual attention. Every birdwatcher gets the opportunity for observing all the birds encountered on a tour.

Half-day trip (4-5 h)

Ideal when you want to get a taste of local bird fauna and observe the most known species. If you want to diversify your vacation then a half-day birding trip is a go to option. Depending on your interests pick one location that suits you best. Half-day trip is perfect for begginers and families with kids.

Full day trip (8-10 h)

Best option when you're determined to find as many species as possible. Spend a full day with us observing birds in a variety of habitats. You'll get a better chance to find rarer species and learn about them. Full day trip includes multiple locations with different features. Tour can be split into stages with optional number of breaks.

Central Croatia

  Odra floodplain 📌

    Around Odra river lies floodplain landscape composed of forests, grasslands and small water bodies shaped by traditional agriculture. Forests are nesting site of White-tailed eagle, Lesser spotted eagle and Black Stork, while on the grassland nest Corncrake, Montagu's harrier and European bee-eater. Waterbirds congregate here during flood season.

  Žutica forest 📌

    Vast lowland forest is interspersed with backwaters, canals, oxbows and lakes but also oil wells, making it unique forest ecosystem. Typical forest birds are Ural owl, Collared flycatcher and Common kingfisher on the streams. On the adjacent pastures European honey buzzard and Yellow wagtail can be spotted.

  Lonjsko polje 📌

    This Nature park is one of the biggest and most preserved floodplains in Europe spanning over vast mosaic of antropogenic and natural habitats including forests, wet meadows and pastures, rivers and marshland. 250 bird species has been recorded in Lonjsko polje and it is known as a breeding site of Spoonbill and numerous heron species like Purple heron, Squacco heron and Cattle egret.



Istria region

  Mirna river mouth 📌

    Place where longest Istrian river merges into Adriatic sea offers variety of habitats including mudflats, marshland and mosaic fields. It's a home of European Roller, Zitting Cisticola, Red-rumped Swallow, and a great resting spot for migrators like Red Kite, Dunlin and Glossy Ibis.

  Palud ornithological reserve 📌

    Small brackish swamp surrounded with dense forest is unique place in Istria with over 200 bird species recorded. It's a nesting place of Black-Winged Stilt, Water Rail and Golden Oriole. During migration it attracts many ducks, grebes and waders.

  Učka mountain 📌

    Unique Mediterranean mountain characterized by diverse vegetation and different geographical features provides an interesting mix of continental and Mediterranean species of birds. On a variety of hiking trails you can encounter an Golden Eagle, Gryffon Vulture, Rock Partridge, Ortolan Bunting, Black Woodpecker and Alpine Swift among others.
